In his work with clients in therapy, Liam merges a psychodynamic approach with a variety of techniques from humanistic, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral models in order to meet each individual’s needs. Liam seeks to provide guidance and support to clients through times of hardship, transition…or just life. He has a special focus on helping clients explore the outcomes of personal trauma, across challenged interpersonal relationships, substance use, self-esteem issues and anxiety. He aims to help his clients find working solutions to their problems and process painful feelings —exploring harmful behaviors and negative patterns, while emphasizing personal strengths and positive characteristics that will support their journey. Liam has his Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Baruch College.

After a perilous motorcycle crash in 2103, Liam developed a deeply personal understanding of several methodologies in his recovery, drawing insights from Vipasannā training and cognitive-behavioral approaches to interpret pain in the context of a spiritual framework. Liam also engages in a diverse range of volunteer and professional work; 12-Step settings, college counseling and broad support for the elderly population.
